Data Grounding, 2022

A poster about the digital realm in the structured system of Surveillance Capitalism connected to digital overstimulation and its effects on human well being.

Big companies are pushing you to stay on the screen all the time, to get more and more behavioural data from you. With your online experience they earn money from you with every click, slide and the amount of time you look at something. Using machine intelligence to look at your past and your present, they can predict your future actions. They claim human experience as free raw material for translation into behavioural data, which is in the end used as profit-making in this new kind of marketplace.

Information spreads around the world with the speed of light. With a constant pressured experience of time we are pushed to work as quick as possible and we are getting overstimulated by being online all the time, which results in unhealthy mental and physical states.

This poster is made after a research on, among others, The Age of Surveillance Capitalism by Shoshana Zuboff.
